On June 1, 2014, Sebastian Mayer posted a screenshot of the yet-to-be titled game on Reddit. In March 2014, development started as an attempt to simulate coaster physics before deciding to turn it into a full theme park simulation game. Furthermore, the game introduces a branching map system within its campaign mode. Parkitect introduces several aspects that differentiate from the classic RollerCoaster Tycoon series including staff buildings, resource depots, and hidden staff-only areas. The player may hire staff to fulfill the needs of the park. Similar to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, the player must build rides, manage the park, and keep their guests happy. The premise of the game is to build a theme park. Gameplay An in-game screenshot of Parkitect Parkitect simulates amusement park management, similar to the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. After a successful Kickstarter campaign and a two-year-long early access beta period, the game was released on November 29, 2018. ![]() The Roller Coaster Tycoon expansion pack Added Attractions (Corkscrew Follies) also features a scenario called Coaster Canyon.Parkitect is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Texel Raptor. The Guest Settings for the Coaster Canyon Scenario as seen in the Scenario Editor. Should the guest goal still not be reached, consider adding additional flat rides, or spend some money on advertisement. Once the six coasters have been built, it shouldn't be hard to obtain the required guests without advertisement. Their ride tickets will pay for the loan's interest and there is no need to repay the loan to achieve the scenario goals. If one decides on pay-per-ride, utilize loans in order to obtain enough money to build the required coasters. The guests enter the park with a lot of money, so it is entirely possible, in order to achieve the goals quickly, to run a pay-per-entry park, build a bunch of coasters, then charge a lot for the entry to the park in order to gain the money back to build more coasters. Since the excitement requirement is so low and to save on space, try to build the coasters as small as possible. Ultimately, the bottleneck in this scenario is amassing enough money to build these six coasters. However, if one finds it hard to attract 700 guests before the optional deadline to get the 6th coaster type, do consider delegating research towards new coaster types. This means that, assuming the player is comfortable with the starting coaster selection, there is no need to delegate research efforts towards new coasters, instead being allowed to focus on researching other rides to attract more guests. Should the park manage to attract 700 guests before having six coasters in the park, the player will unlock the Monorail Coaster. Therefore, consider the scenario goals as merely requiring a park with six coasters that is capable of attracting 550 guests. For more information, see the Coaster Stat Calculation Guide. Coaster Canyon's coaster count goal has a very low excitement rating requirement, to the point that even the Mini Coaster, which has the lowest excitement rating in the game, can be utilised to achieve the goal. ![]()
